Take a Seat at Seattle Restaurant Week: Il Fornaio

Prepare your appetite for the final days of celebration of Seattle’s favorite restaurants! The Seattle Times and the Seattle Restaurant Cooperative present Seattle Restaurant Week. Time is truly of the essence to enjoy Seattle’s most delightful cuisine at more than 150 Seattle restaurants offering three course dinner menus for just $28 to celebrate the event.

Our very own Il Fornaio is offering some of our favorite dishes for their special restaurant week menu. We were able to sit down at Il Fornaio last week and enjoy one of the most palate pleasing dinners offered for Restaurant Week. The menu offers 3 distinct options for each course. Selecting our personal favorites from the Restaurant Week menu was a true test because each course looked so amazing.

Here is what we finally decided on ordering at Il Fornaio for Seattle Restaurant Week:

Prosciutto e Melone – Tuscan melon wrapped in Prosciutto di Parma, sprinkled with pepper and garnished with kalamata olives.

For the entree we could not pass up a Northwest personal favorite:

Salmone alla Griglia – Grilled Northwest salmon served with lemon dressing, roasted Yukon gold potatoes and sautéed vegetables

When it came time for dessert, we had already made up our mind for this menu selection:

Tiramisu – Ladyfingers soaked in espresso and rum, mascarpone, shaved chocolate
