Making a Difference at Pacific Place

Pacific Place Seattle

It’s not exactly a secret that here at Pacific Place, we love a good shopping spree. We love supporting important causes, too, so when doing a little shopping can actually help make a positive difference in our community and our world, it’s is even better.

Shops all over Pacific Place are taking little steps to make the world a better place. Here are some of our favorites:

1.    Eddie Bauer: Add a dollar, Plant a Tree

What do they do? Our friends at Eddie Bauer have teamed up with American Forests to create the Eddie Bauer Global ReLeaf tree project. The project aims to replant millions of trees around the world in urban areas and areas affected by natural disasters. Since the project began they have planted over $5 million worth of trees all over the U.S. and Canada. The project even helped fund the planting of 2 million trees for the Mountain to Sound Greenway project right here in Washington State!

What can I do?  Simply ask to add $1 to your purchase total in store, online or through the Eddie Bauer catalog. That $1 will help plant a tree at one of the Global ReLeaf sites in the U.S. and Canada.

2.    L’Occitane: The L’Occitane Lavender Project

What do they do? When a deadly disease began killing off mass quantities of lavender in the French countryside, L’Occitane decided to take a stand. By helping fund research and support Lavender projects in Europe, they have helped prevent the loss of one of the world’s most beloved fragrances.

What can I do? Simply enjoy any of the luxurious lavender products from L’Occitane. Not only will you smell heavenly, you’ll help to preserve one of our favorite beauty ingredients.

It seems like some of the written text on your posts are running off the screen.

Can someone else please comment and let me know if this is happening to them too?
This could be a issue with my web browser because I’ve had this happen previously.
